Rumidate’s Editorial Policy

Here at Rumidate, it is our intention to create an entertaining, interesting and hopefully helpful environment for you to enjoy yourself, learn, submit a funny story, participate in a discussion or two and maybe even meet that girl or guy you’ve been looking to go out with to experience all of the awkward pleasures of dating.

Editorial Content

In addition to all of your wonderful content submissions, Rumidate staff and freelancers regularly contribute their creative, witty and sometimes bitingly sarcastic perspectives to enhance the site with new content. Rumidate’s tagline is “The Lighter Side of Dating” for a reason; we all think that many aspects of dating are pretty amusing and we’re here to expose the good, the bad and the ridiculousness of it all. At times, we will need to be serious, but in general, if you have a sense of humor and want a “lighter” look at some of our favorite topics to discuss, this is the website for you.

Advice-Specific Content

Ask the “Expert” and Advice (Tips & Suggestions) are two categories on Rumidate that involve us giving advice and presenting our point of view on a myriad of topics. Advice focuses on general subjects, while Ask the “Expert” attempts to help you get real answers to your specific dating and relationship-related questions. We want to point out that we’re not really experts (hence “Expert” in quotes), but we’ll provide you with our honest opinions and try to answer your questions with sincerity. We do not have any formal education, just a lot of real-life experience (which is probably better than a PhD). Therefore, please do not take our postings too seriously. If you need help, you should seek out an accredited individual who can help you with your questions and concerns.

Third Party Items

The resources, services, products and third-party content that we write about are all things that we think would be entertaining, interesting and/or helpful to our community. We are never paid for promoting anything other than when we clearly mark something as sponsored or advertising. We do need to make some money to keep this great website afloat, so we may have advertisements and sponsored material accompanying our content.

Finally, have a great time on the site, contribute your content and tell all of your friends (and maybe even some family members) about Rumidate.
