Types of Content

The following is a list of the various types of content we are looking for on Rumidate. All content should possess the Core Values of Rumidate and must follow the Content Submission Guidelines.

Anecdates (Dating, Flirting & Relationship Stories)

If you have an entertaining story to share about dating, flirting, relationships (pre-marriage) or anything related, Rumidate wants to hear about it. Anecdates can be funny, embarrassing or terrible, or they can be cute, nice or romantic. We applaud happy endings and success stories on Rumidate in addition to uncomfortable situations and other tribulations.

Anecdates can be short or long, but please keep them to no more than one page single-spaced (in your word processor). In addition, if you have an image, video or other type of media that you would like to use to enhance your content, please feel free to attach it with a reference to its source (must follow Rumidate’s Submission Guidelines and Terms of Service – no copyrighted material may be used).

Rumidations

Rumidations are any random musings, commentary, personal content, thoughts, reactions and anything else that happens to us in our daily lives that relate to the themes of Rumidate. If you have something interesting to say or entertaining to share, we want to hear from you.

Ask the “Expert”

Ask us your dating or relationship-related questions. However, please note that we are not actually experts (hence “Expert” in quotes), we just have a lot of real life experience. Therefore, please do not take our postings too seriously. If you need help, you should seek out an accredited individual who can help you with your questions and concerns. Due to the number of questions we receive, please understand that we can only answer a limited number of them. If we decide to answer your question in a post, depending on the length of your question, we may paraphrase or display only a portion of it (if necessary). The more background information you provide, the better we can answer your question.

Online Content

Online Content is any individual content found online including images, photos, videos, audio, articles, slideshows, documents, blog posts, etc. All submissions must include a valid URL (full website address), any additional source information and a brief description.

What Do You Think? (Topics for Discussion)

Provide your perspective on a topic and introduce it to the rest of the Rumidate community for discussion. Multiple perspectives from friends in the same submission are encouraged as long as demographic information is provided for each contributor (for distinguishing purposes).

Q & P (Question & Poll of the Day)

Do you have a question and/or related poll that you would like to ask the Rumidate community? All questions/polls must be relevant to the themes of the site. When formatting your question, include one top-level primary question and several follow-up or additional related questions (used to elicit more in-depth answers from the community in Comments). When creating a poll, please provide a primary question or poll topic and three to seven answer choices.

Advice (Tips / Suggestions)

Have advice for a general or specific situation? Think you know a lot about something that could help our readers? Submit your tips and suggestions.

Media (TV, Movies, Books, etc.)

Know of a good tv show, movie, book or any other type of general media that would be worthwhile to discuss on Rumidate? Let us know what’s good out there.

Guests (Guest Posts)

Do you have your own blog or work for a publication or media company as a content creator? Want to provide a new perspective on Rumidate as a guest writer? Feel free to contact us with your ideas.

Miscellaneous / Other

Is there something that doesn’t quite fit into any of the other categories? That’s ok…please provide a brief description of what your submission is and why it would be beneficial to Rumidate.

The Files

If you would like to attempt to decipher or expose the many differences between men and women, please feel free to contribute your thoughts, lists and notes. Topics may include The Dating Rules, How Men/Women Think, What Men/Women Want and How Do Men/Women Act in specific situations.

Resources

Resources are online or offline websites, services or products that could be helpful to the Rumidate community. Please include a valid URL (website address), a description of the resource and any other important info (the original source must be included).
